The making of
Grand Mosque Edition
The closest you can get to the feel of the sacred carpets of Makkah, for your home. Thick-pile wool, identical geometric motifs to the Haram floor covering, presented in a handcrafted wooden gift box. A limited run of 200 pieces per year.
Woven and finished in Pakistan by artisans who have spent decades mastering Islamic geometric patterns. Each piece passes through three quality checkpoints — pile density, backing adhesion, and visual symmetry — before it earns the Anislam name.
Brush the pile after each use in the direction of the weave. Fold along existing crease lines — never roll tightly.
Store in a breathable cotton bag, upright if possible. Shake outdoors weekly and air in indirect sunlight for twenty minutes.
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Blot stains immediately — never rub. Allow to dry fully before folding.
For new zealand wool, cotton warp mats: vacuum monthly on low suction. Professional clean once yearly for silk and wool blends.
